This is a Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) pattern from Happy Sew Lucky. This is sold as a banner but I turned it into a tote bag.

FPP can give you a more accurate seam and is made in sections. The sections are sewn together and the paper on the back side is removed.

This was the original banner size. I added more fabric to create the size of a tote bag.

I used the stacked hearts for the opposite side of the bag.

Straps were made from the same fabric as the bag.

The bag is fully lined and really roomy.

Both sides are quilted with a grid pattern.
