I gave my husband a bottle of bourbon for his birthday earlier this month. All I had to wrap it in was either Christmas paper or a holiday bag. I decided to whip up a quilted gift bag!

I had some leftover strips from other quilts that I sewed together to make a 16” x 18” mini quilt.

I quilted it with straight lines and even lined the inside. I made a ton of Christmas stockings a few years ago and learned how to do the lining based on that pattern by Suzy Quilts (see the post of my stockings).

I sewed a ribbon into the seam. I boxed the bottom corners so that it would stand on it’s own.
