A few years ago, I decided to upgrade our family Christmas stockings. I made a few for friends too.

I used a free pattern from Suzy Quilts and it was very easy to follow. I used my own patchwork quilt top instead of her stocking pattern. She provided a printable template and I cut mine out of cardboard since I knew I was making several. It was more durable.

These stockings are fully lined. I’m getting ready to cut out this lining which is an unexpected lime green.

The stockings are cut out and ready for quilting. I pulled a few feet of thread off the spool to make sure it’s a good match.

Finished blue stockings. I quilted these, and all of the other stockings, on my domestic machine with a crosshatch pattern. The large one is 16”L x 11”W. The small one is 11”L x 8”W.
