This pattern is called the Ugly Quilt by Just Get It Done Quilts. Click on the link to see the method. I used 20 - 16” square pieces of fabric to make the quilt a bit bigger.

The block ends up being 12 1/2” square.

I sewed all the blocks together in a 4 x 5 grid and added a border. I loaded the backing and top onto the frame. Once I got the backing in place, I put a piece of batting in between the back and top.

I quilted this with my longarm machine using an edge to edge pattern called You Have My Heart from My Creative Stitches.
